Abstract

Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (HKU) University of the Arts Utrecht is one of the largest art and culture-oriented institutes in Europe. Their Games and Interaction School is well known for pioneering applied game design and playful interaction research to address problems that cannot be solved with conventional approaches.

Co-creation with subject matter experts, user-centeredness and research form the foundation of several HKU designed innovative pilots in areas such as healthcare, education, cultural heritage and safety – all will be highlighted during the presentation.
